Hi Everyone, thanks for visiting :)
I was born in South Australia in 1961 to Italian immigrant parents. We moved house a few times during my childhood but finally settled on a little five acre block in Geelong, Victoria. I now live in Mission Beach, North Queensland on eleven acres.
In my early 20’s I discovered stories by Guy De Maupassant. A late 18th century French poet and novelist. A madman, and in my humble opinion, master of the macabre who later committed suicide in a mental asylum. I was so fascinated with him, his style and his works, that I devoured anything I could find. Maupassant was, and still is, my inspiration in creating characters that speak volumes with dialogue.
My past life saw me owning and running a bookshop and various other retail businesses. Thirty-five years in the service industry gave me a unique insight into human nature which later lead me to study Social Anthropology at Deakin University.
While writing Hoodie Black. I completed and self-published four, ten-thousand-word short story thrillers… Way to Go, The Old Railway Tunnel, The Tallyman – A Tribute to Stephen King and Stygian River. Flash fiction, Don’t Let Him In, and Hallowed Ground, Dead Ringer and Ye’ Old Antique Store.
I am a member of the Australian Horror Writers Association and the Victorian Writers Association
